procrastination
instead of going to bed like i said i was, i started looking at my posts from 2005. ah, pullman. it did motivate me to keep up on my blog a little better. but blogging about how i read my own blog is NOT the way to do it, dorkwad.

the laziest day ever
well, i guess i've had lazier (but not by much). and i think you automatically assign a certain level of laziness to the day when you never change out of your pj's. however, i did manage to clean up the house from last night (we have massive amounts of recyclables now) and make enough fried rice to feed an army (or at least feed us for several days). let's see what else....nope, that's about it.
oh yeah, shout out to my grandma, it's her birthday for another 15 minutes or so, at least here in pacific time. 92 is pretty impressive and i hope to be 92 years old one day also. it's pretty amazing to think of all the change someone of that age has seen over their lifetime. i bet they never thought they would see a black man become president. i better not say anything else lest i jinx things.
i hope i do not have the same motivation issues tomorrow, because the temperature is supposed to reach 70 degrees and there could be potential for a beautiful fall hike. maybe i should go to bed so i won't sleep the morning away.

updates
1. i finally broke down and joined facebook.
2. i'm really liking the mobile posting thing. the posts with the subject lines that are the same as the text of the body are the ones from my phone...i wish there was a way to mark them as different.
3. earthshattering news from my job this week. we found out that the owners sold the practice to VCA (giant stupid corporation). i think i'm over the initial shock and dismay phase, now i'm dealing with the issues of abandonment and fear of the future. it's going to be a big adjustment and i don't feel like going into all the details of how crappy this is.

at home
well i at least have a few days off this week. i've been cleaning up my yard and replanting a few things in the front. over the summer everything kind of went to shit and the house started to look like some white trash renters were inhabiting it. since almost everything in the front bed died, i replanted it with some herbs that will hopefully grow into larger bushes by next year - lavender, sage, rosemary, curry. and i added a soaker hose so i hopefully won't kill everything again. today i'm trying to reseed and fertilize the front yard (it's also dead) but it keeps starting to rain. so now i'm cleaning the inside of the house. oh my life is exciting today. that's ok though, we planned to take it a little easier in october, save a little money.
also i signed up to be able to post mobile blogs from my phone, but i haven't tried it yet. hopefully it works. maybe i'll go outside and take a picture and try it out.
