no, not the creepy religious fervor call to action kind, i'm referring to my dead blog. more than once i've thought of it but failed to take any action. since it's been a very long time, i thought i would start out easy and post some pictures of some of our summer activities.
the picture above is from the family visit in may (minus dad, booooo). logs of oregon-oriented fun.

nighttime at the sasquatch festival, our first trip to the gorge ampitheater. worth the trip to the middle of nowhere. justin and julie came up for that one.

trip to missouri in june for amber and jeff's wedding. chris was not impressed with the heat and humidity. got to hang out in columbia with the old vet school crew as well as go to a cardinals game. also went down to see family for a few days.

of course we did some camping here and there, though not as much as last summer it seems. new places included near mt. st. helens (got a new camera before that trip but lost the pictures we took, so sad) and olympic national park in washington.

ragbrai with dad in july. great way to break in my fabulous new bike. highlights include 2 a.m. campsite evacuation for a tornado warning, pie pie pie, dad's grandparents farmhouse in ames, mid-morning bloody marys, my favorite new food stand PB and jam's, beautiful century loop among others.

olympic national park. also on this trip we did an unexpected mini-wine tour one afternoon. they don't actually grow grapes on the peninsula but do bottle some good wine. the rainforest is very wet.

and just last weekend mary and marcus got married so we had a great weekend in oregon wine country with good friends. this meal is not wine-oriented but we did have an interesting beer sampler. malgi came all the way from austria, hooray!
