holy crap, it rains a lot here

as you may have seen on the news. but i guess it i the most it's rained at at time in about 10 years so it's not usually this bad. i did see part of the sky behind the clouds for the first time in several days, so that was exciting. it better not be raining the whole time we're in missouri next week because i'm sure we'll need a break by then. no flooding in my neighborhood, but i've seen more electric and sewer work around town than ever before and some of the older buildings near downtown have their basements flooding. the meteorologists here always have a lot to talk about and they all use flashy graphics.

we're finally trying to fill our empty living room so we went sofa shopping today. a little overwhelming, not sure if we'll be making a decision anytime soon.

WHY does our local news feel that it is necessary to report that brittney spears is getting divorced? that's some shameful reporting. that does it, it's time to stop watching the news and do something else.
